Reiki can aid in the following:

Reiki is an ancient Japanese energetic healing technique. The Japanese alphabet breaks the word Reiki into two components. “Rei” means universal, essence, soul, transcendent spirit and “Ki” is vital life force energy, akin to Chi in Chinese acupuncture and the Light in Christianity.

Reiki is a pure form of universal energy or consciousness which, through the process of attunement, can be channeled from humans to other sentient beings to promote healing of the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. It does this by facilitating the relief of physical pain, releasing emotional blockages and limiting belief systems, relieving stress, and reconnecting the client with the healer within. Reiki facilitates the integration of all our fractured or unacknowledged parts and helps us recognize our own wholeness.

Reiki does not cure; it connects individuals with their own innate ability to heal. It goes to the places where we most need it’s gentle, powerful healing. It is non-invasive, relaxing, and effective. It can enhance the effectiveness of other healing modalities such as allopathic and holistic medicine, bodywork, psychotherapy, and guided imagery.

During a reiki session clients go into a space akin to deep meditation and typically feel relaxed and peaceful. Emotions may surface as they come up to be felt and released. Symptoms of physical ailments may be heightened, which signifies a clearing of these issues.

As with meditation, words cannot accurately describe the effects of reiki: one must experience the beauty of it for oneself.
